Ok, I still have this headache/ Migraine from a few weeks ago now and I am beginning to think it is something a bit more than just fibro. I have been to phyio and have taken many meds today and not much has helped at all. I am now looking at the possibility of it being diabetes.
I was was wanting to find out what the correlation between fibro and diabetes may be and if anyone else has this?? I am going to phone the doctor tomorrow to get an appointment to see what is going on.

I have fibro and diabetes type 2. Fibro can be caused by diabetes or any auto immune diseases that you might have might be a contributor. The risks for diabetes can be linked to a genetic link. It also can be a nasty cycle if you have an autoimmune disease you have a increased chance of getting diabetes and/ or fibro. If you have fibro you aren't as likely to be active there for you increase your chance for diabetes. If you have an auto immune disease you could have a hormone imbalance that could deprive your system of the hormones making things not working properly. Diabetes can be auto immune disease or auto immune based.
I hope you get into the pain doctors soon. I am so sorry you have migraines, and that is something I don't have to deal with. I am not a headache person, but I am getting them more often. I am hoping the doctors can help you soon. God Bless You..
Migraines are a part of my Fibro experience. Treximet has been an answer for me. Has been expensive but well worth it.
I also suffer from servere and chronic migraines as part of my fibro symptoms. And they can last for a week or more. I do not have diabetes but I do suffer from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and I find that when my blood sugar is out of whack it can be a trigger for my migraines. And since diabetes is a blood sugar issue - that might also be contributing to your migraine triggers.
