Because of am so sensitive to drugs, I am always looking for alternative treatments for my fibro. Has anyone tried turmeric (or curcumin), and what is/was your experience with it?

Members shared mixed but mostly positive experiences with turmeric for fibromyalgia, with several reporting that it helps reduce pain and inflammation, and one noting they can feel a difference when they stop taking it. Many members offered practical tips, including combining turmeric with black pepper for better absorption, drinking it as tea with ginger and lemon, cooking with it daily for gut health, and pairing it with other supplements like magnesium malate and MSM for fibromyalgia relief. A recurring theme was the value of natural approaches and dietary changes, with one member sharing an inspiring story of coming off 14 medications, losing weight, and regaining energy through healthier eating, turmeric, and daily swimming.

I took turmeric on the advice of a nutritionist to help me lose weight. I took it for 4 months & didn't notice much of any difference & I didn't lose a single pound... but the lack of weight loss could have been due to my hypothyroidism which hadn't been diagnosed yet

I cook with both everyday. Great for your intestinal health, which is where your immune system lives.
