I noticed a lot of people talk about hip pain. When I think about hip pain I think about joint pain like from Osteoarthritis. My hips are sore every day, but it isn't the joint it is the muscles around my waist. It is hard for me to bend or twist from the pain. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
@A MyFibroTeam Member it makes sense that they aren't seeing anything on your films because fibro doesn't show in them and That is why doctors dont know a lot about fibro. I need you to know that even tho it doesn't show up it still hurts and causes pain and its not in your head (which is what they thought of me cuz they couldn't find anything and I was 5150'd for no reason but for having a disease that doesn't show). You need a Rheumatologist asap! They will understand. I hope this helped.
I get achey in my hips from time to time and it feels like the muscles are aching but sometimes it also feels like its in my hip joints. Did you know that fibro can also affect your joints?
Hi i get pain in my hips all the time and is worse at night when in bed. x
I had hip pain to where I couldn't lay on my side at night, it wasn't in my joint but in my muscle. I haven't experienced it like that since I started Cymbalta and Lyrica, because I started them both together I'm not sure which gets credit for my lower half not taking the blunt.
Sorry... I shouldn't have said around my waist. I can see how that could be confusing. The muscle pain is not near my abdomen (whole separate issue). It is on the sides of my body. If you remember the stretch where you put one hand on your hip, one in the air, and bend side to side, my hip mucles hurt to do this now.
