I have tried several medians and I am not sure that any of them are helping, or if its the weather, As soon as its damp I am in agony and stiff sometimes I wonder how to get out of bed in the morning. But I know I am in as much pain if I lay there or get out.

Members shared a wide variety of approaches to managing stiffness and pain that worsens with weather changes, with the most commonly mentioned medications being Gabapentin for nerve pain, Celebrex or Celecoxib for arthritis, and muscle relaxers like Robaxin or Flexeril. Several members emphasized practical strategies that provide relief, including stretching before getting out of bed, hot showers or baths, swimming regularly, alternating heat and ice, and gentle exercise without overdoing it. A recurring theme was frustration with doctors minimizing symptoms and difficulty accessing certain medications, balanced by determination to keep moving forward despite the daily challenges of living with fibromyalgia and related conditions.

Gabapentin seems to help me. Also at the end of my shower I run warm water down my back (where I am stiff) and then slowly make it hotter. Helps me.

Ya no muscle wasting??? This is where I think they have no clue to what's going on wih us. If there's no muscle wasting then way to some end up in bed from the pain so bad and unable to move? Or like me use to walk 3+ miles a day et lucky I can do few blocks now et muscles get very fatigued et feel like I am going to collapse? And then I cannot even wash my own hair. OH YA Right it's all in my head!!!! LOL. BULLS--- there's more going on with us et I don't care what blood tests, x-rays, ect say in the end. Millions of us are suffering from the same thing et you'd think they'd put more effort into researching fibro:(

you must have arthritis also, i take celebrex for arthritis and lyrica for fibro. i also take hydrocodone for fibro but there are some days when the weather changes that i get very ill. hurt so much. i notice if i exercise regularly when the flare up come they are not so bad. exercise helps a lot but don't over do it because that will also trigger the fibro.
