Eye Pain, Double Vision When I Try To Read A Book.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Every time I open a book when I am feeling good my eyes start to hurt and my vision can't focus. My head also starts to hurt and I get extremely tired. I have to shake my head to focus on the book but my eyes go cross and I lose focus after a few seconds. Has anyone ever have this problem, I would love to find out why this happens.

I have the same problem. My vision blurs off and on no matter what I'm doing. It's even worse when I don't wear glasses or contacts. I have just recently gone from regular glasses and contacts to bifocals on both.

Yes, I have this problem. I was diagnosed with dry eyes and put in meds for that. Sometimes it helps. But one of my eyes seem to be bulging as if I might have some thyroid problem so Iā€™m looking in to that. Awaiting results now. Some thyroid symptoms mimic fibromyalgia so I really need to rule out Thyroid. I already have fibromyalgia, alpha gal, pre-diabetic, allergic to practically everything. So tired. Hope you feel better.

You have described my exact symptoms better than I can! I find it so frustrating as I feel it's bad enough I can't do things physically anymore so this is just another way I feel fibromyalgia has robbed me of things I enjoy. I often shake my head or look away but once it starts it comes back quickly even after I try to shake it off. It often makes me go to sleep too, it's like in trying to escape the messy state of my head and closing down. I've been to see an eye doc today who explained it was the fibromyalgia, he has given me prisms in my reading glasses! Hear

Direct I'd go..in

Wow....I've been having a lot of these issues too and I just chalked it up to getting old. I got LASIK back in 2005. But now have reading glasses scattered everywhere. I wish there were easy answers.
