I like savella. I've have been on it for years. I feel it really keeps my symptoms in check. Ad for side effects, I don't notice any. Lyrica and cymbalta caused massive weight gain. I do not have that problem with savella.

It made me violently ill - not sure why but I never took it again. Thing is, one med that works for one person won't work for another, so it'll be specific to you.

I had major headache and excessive sweating on Savella. I tried it for 12 weeks and would have stayed with it if it helped but unfortunately it did nothing for me. Come to find out that I can't take any SSRI medication because my body is over producing seretonin and the SSRI meds produce more serotonin making me sicker. Everyone is different though so you might have great results with Savella. It's worth a try.

I switched to citilopram which is for depression but does not increase seretonin instead it targets dopamine production which is what I need to increase. I started 6 weeks ago so still early but I do not have any side effects so that is encouraging.
