I have been suffering with sore and painful gums for months, this happens intermittently. My gums don't bleed and l have been told by my dentist that I have healthy gums. I do take gabapentin and I know that drug can cause problems with teeth. I use teething gel by the tube to try and numb them when they are bad! Help!!!

Members validated each other's experiences with severe gum and jaw pain linked to fibromyalgia, sharing relief that they weren't alone in symptoms like jaw joint pain, ear pressure, migraines, and tooth chipping that dentists couldn't explain medically. Several members discussed practical strategies including using mouthwash for dry mouth caused by medications like gabapentin, trying coconut oil as a natural anti-inflammatory by swishing or swallowing it, and managing TMJ-related grinding with mouth guards despite challenges like material allergies. A recurring theme was the frustration of invisible pain that feels overwhelming and isolating, met with deep empathy from others who understood how debilitating jaw and gum pain can be even when dental health appears normal.

Sometimes due to meds your mouth may become very dry
Try using a mouthwash for dry mouth, sometimes it helps.
