Most days my eyesight is a blur even my new glasses are of no help. I get the occasional day where I can see perfectly even able to drive, but for the most part I'm stuck in the house unable to see anything clearly. I also get stabbing pains in the inner corners.
Do others have this problem and what do you do to help?

Members responded to concerns about fluctuating eyesight and stabbing eye pain by strongly encouraging a visit to an ophthalmologist, as the symptoms described did not sound typical of fibromyalgia and could indicate something else, especially given the mention of elevated eye pressure and high blood pressure. Several members shared their own experiences with dry eye disease, which can blur vision, recommending prescription drops like Restasis or other medications that help with inflammation-related dryness, though they admitted consistency with treatment was key. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out medication side effects from blood pressure drugs, testing for conditions like Sjogren's disease, and being proactive about eye health through regular monitoring and professional care.

My auto correct wrote some nonsense....I've been using prescription eye drops for my dry eyes. Mine is caused by inflammation. I have no tears, have lost my teeth because of no saliva. Mine was caused by medication side effects or syjornes disease (sp?).

I have been using après piton medication for my eyes for about six years now. Dry eyes blur vision. Has anyone had that tested by their eye doctor? My eye drops help a lot, but I can't miss it. The name of it escapes me right now.

I have the dry eye disease, part of the fibro I think. I use the restasis that they advertise on T.V. Which is prescription. It does help if I can remember to take it. As far as the blurriness, I just do something else instead of trying to read anything, because I don't know how to fix it either. Maybe if I did remember to take the drops 2 times a day as ordered, it would help the blur!!!!

Hmm, I assume you are on meds for the High BP? Check on side effects from that, if that's the case. I know some of them can cause the type of symptoms you're describing.
