I was seeing a great doctor for awhile. When my disability went through, they said I had to see a different doc. Well the doc they (medicaid) wants me to see is almost 4 hours away. I cannot travel that far due to my vehicle, my health, etc. There is just no way. How do I get Medicaid to allow me to see my regular doctor? Any tips, ideas, anything? I haven't seen him since last fall :( I don't know who to talk to to fight this.

Just find a nice GP who is closer to you. I see my regular doctor once a month and he takes great care of me. Many Rheumatologists don't believe in FM anyway.

I'm also in WV. This is an issue that possibly your general doc can handle for you by writing a letter to Medicaid regarding your situation. Sometimes they will grant payment for a different doc.

I had to change family doctor of 20 yrs. I looked online for Medicaid drs and found one at Complete Care that takes the Medicaid. Its about 5 miles from my house. But then I had to go to pain mgmt. for the pain meds which is 27 miles from my house. Its not a rheumatologist but atleast its a dr that prescribes me my other meds. Good luck with your search and keep looking there is somebody closer.
