Before I'd heard of spoon theory, I used the same analogy with pennies! Tried to explain to my family "this is how much I have to spend today, then I'm broke!" The kids understood being broke. Lol
Anyway I think we also have a lifetime supply of spoons and I used nearly all of mine when I was younger! π
Spoons theory works basically the same way, actually.
So think of yourself well ahead of the game. But knowing it and using it, especially as an adult-

No, I have not. I'm eager to look that up though. My son had general anxiety disorder when he was a child. It was pretty bad. I used to say that he only had so many coping points starting each day. When they ran out that was it. He usually ran out about 9:00 a.m. The rest of the day was self-care.
