I am having surgery on Monday for a umbilical hernia, I was wondering if anyone has some helpful advice on how to deal with fibro and surgery. Right now it's a stressor just to think about it. The surgery will be done with a open procedure.
I had the surgery for umbilical hernia about 7 years ago, now another one is back. The surgery is reletively ok, just don't lift or strain for a few weeks, mine was cut around belly button. In my… read more

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and taking Lyrica 300mg daily without any help for the pain control issues. My doctor will not prescribe me anything for pain. I use Tylenol 650mg three times daily without success. I also have tried Aleve and Motrin. Do you have any suggestions that may help? Thanks.
I do have pain medication however, I rarely use it which is probably the only reason I get it. My ex still has a chemical abuse problem. That's a big part of why I would rather hurt. instead of taking… read more
Wondering how the pain simulator works,,,how often is the battery changed which requires additional surgery, how was the surgery to have it implanted, can you swim and take a bath, does it help. Does it limit your ability to do anything? How long have you had it? Would you recommend it? What are the pros and cons of this therapy?

When I wake up in the morning it feels like I have not slept at all. I struggle to do what used to be "normal" chores and find that I am more homebound now because I cannot commit to anything, as I never know how fatigued I am going to be. Sometimes it feels as though I am too tired to breath.
The fatigue i hate. I have tried sleeping for just 7 hours, 8 hours right upto 17 hours and i still feel groggy when i wake up. I also seem to have vivid dreams, which begin from when i go to sleep… read more
