Describe your worst fibro flare?

In the hopes of pinpointing the onset of a flare up-being new to this and all- what little clues have you learned to spot that warns you a flare up is coming? Whats the longest youve experienced?

hi all what is a flare up.?..is this what i am having is a flare up.?..numbness in arms in hands.?..weak grip in hands.?..carnt feel my hands,feels like hot water running throu my entire body aches&pains all over,stiff sore neck..and sweat well i must triple sweat.feet am so painful to walk on,my brain wont focus feel like people just talkin throu me nuffin registareing to me and all i want to do is rest&sleep all day long is this a flare or just everyday symptoms of fibro...feel so low in… read more

Yesterday I was feeling fine and suddenly without warning had a muscle spasm that started in my esophagus and extended down my neck and then over my right shoulder and then down my spine. The pain was so bad, I thought I was going to pass out. I’m much better today after taking my amitriptyline which I have not taken in awhile. I’ve had small spasms before but I NEVER want to go through having that big spasm again. Has anyone had a large muscle spasm like this and what do you do for it?

How long on average does a flare up of symptoms usually last. I'm quite newly diagnosed but I m still struggling with daily fatigue. I'm taking herbal suppliments to help me get a few hours sleep and same for energy but nothing works

Anybody else experience racing heart, elevated bp, tinnitus or Increased urination with a flare? I used to have nothing but pain but now i have these lovely additional symptoms and just wondering if anyone else experiences these weird symptoms too? Ive had gi symptoms from the start but ive always heard thats not abnormal. This stuff…. Bizarre.

At the start of a new fibro flare my throat glands swell and I get a sore throat for 2 or 3 days. Sometimes a flare will start before the previous one has ended, anyone else get this?

With a longstanding history of arthritis in the spine as well as fibro, I am used to having widespread chest and back muscular pain, but this is a recent "attack" that feels like stabbing and a neuropathic pain. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this type of severe attack that is over and above the general daily fibro achiness? I am thinking it may be something more in addition, like an intercostal neuralgia or radicular pain from pinched spinal nerves? Thank you.
