Does anyone else experience severe muscle cramping, tightness and extreme soreness in their leg and back muscles. I am on magnesium, and my blood levels show up normal. I also have small muscle twitching at random places all over my body. I also have no reflexes in legs and feet. I also have swelling in my hands, lumps inside my elbows and behind my knees, these lumps are sore when pressed.
Also, have you tried adding calcium to your diet? Sometimes low calcium can cause sore legs too. If the bumps travel anywhere other than those two places, it might be Dercum's disease.
I have not been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, or anything else. I saw a Neurologist (Neuromuscular specialist) last year for the twitching. Didn't really get answers . Ran thorough blood work. since I had a normal exam, suggested Benign Fasciculation Syndrome. My symptoms for the last 2 years......

Really worth getting checked for lyme disease
Does anyone else have muscles that twitch. A lot of mine do. My thumb had been twitching for about 4 hrs now. Anyone know how to make it stop.

I feel the same way I can’t deal with the twitching. It gives me major anxiety along with the fatigue. I shake a lot also. How do you deal and is this normal.
Hi! Wondering if anyone experiences electrical shocks throughout their body? I get them so badly my body actually moves on it's own. If I get one in bed, my whole body raises off the bed. Once, while drinking a glass of water I got a shock and hit the glass into my teeth. No broken teeth...that time and I hate drinking out of plastic! :)
I went to a MAPS clinic, just once...and when I told the PA about the above, using the bed as an example, I was told it was probably static electricity in… read more
Yes, I describe them like a surge of electricity that just goes through my body.
Once I find out they’re benign I won’t mind them as much. Yes, they’ll still be annoying, but if I know it’s not caused by disease I’ll have more peace of mind.
Hello - me again. And im really starting to get nervous about these muscle twitches. Since last monday, i havw been twitching in the same place prettt much non-stop. Some minor little twitches in other random spots but nothing like this. This is a deep twitch and it happens when im in bed or sittinf still. When i drop my arm to my side, it’s not present but whenever I bend my arm even slightly, there it is. I have had a lot of anxiety trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. Some of which took… read more

I was wondering, for those who deal with the above muscle issues, does yours come and go depending on the day/week? For example, some days I will have no muscle twitching or fasciculations, and then all of a sudden, it will all hit me like a truck and I'll spend days feeling extremely weak, exhausted, and having twitching and fasciculations throughout my whole body.
The past few days have *really* sucked in this respect!
I can’t say I get them a lot, but I do occasionally.
