Has Anyone Else Found Fasting Lowers The Pain Dramatically?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was having an allergic reaction. Leg swelling, itchy body and scalp. Whole body pain, feeling miserable
I could not figure out the cause. Out of desperating I decided to fast for a few days to try and figure what was making me feel awful. To my surprise my overall pain dropped in half, swelling was reduced, and I had a since of well being. OMG! I’ll take it
I don’t understand the reason, but I had a setback as soon as I introduced simple foods not associated with allergies. Strange. I am… read more

I have found avoiding grain, low crabs, low sugar tiny bit of dairy diet reduces my pain levels. My doctors put me in high protein, low carbs, low sugar, tiny dairy diet because I have two diseases in my intestines

Thank you for your concern. I have researched fasting, talked to a nutritionist, and my primary care doctor.
You are correct in your concern, especially if you are diabetic.

I have coffee in the morning
Lots of water all day.
Some type of meat or chicken broth
Fresh Squeezed juice. No sugar added.

I have been trying to lose weight, so I'm only eating a salad with romane lettuce, spinach, avocado, chicken, pecans, crasins and a few croutons. I like the skinny girl poppie seed dressing. I eat it in the afternoon. I also have a small icecream sandwich at night. I've lost almost 20lbs. I feel better without the sugar, carbs, and dairy. Junk food, fried foods really increased my pain. I also take a supplement of fruits and vegetables in a tablet, along with a calcium pill and probiotics. Each person has to figure out what their bodies don't like. I can't eat eggs, which I use to love. Good luck to all.

When I am in a lot of pain, what I do is pour grape Pedialyte over ice. (I just happen to like the grape flavor better than the others). It takes away a lot of pain and helps keep my strength up and fluids in me). This is just something I found on my own. I think everyone is different and have to find what works for them.
