Legs Giving Out?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had some unusual symptoms. My legs suddenly got weak and and wobbly. It is like they would not work properly. This really scared me. I also have had pain on my entire face and the lining of my mouth.. and just feeling sick. I have never had these symptoms before. Is this fibro or could it be something else?

I chblackm I am having some of the problems as you. The leg is hurting and it makes my gait unsteady. I have arthritis. I ask the same thing you ask. Is this fribro or what?

I was thinking this isnt me. However, i fall… a lot. Ive resorted to using a cane when i travel- not just an outward projection of my disability. It helps remind me to slow down which may let me function longer.

I dont have the severe pain in my arms and legs that i see in several answers. But i do have random pain and sometimes it takes up residence in an extremity.

Make sure to rule out other condition before thinking it is just fibro, as sadly it can mimic a few different conditions and it isn't uncommon to have other conditions along side fibro. Personally I have that issue and it is 100% related to my spinal cord and to having Dystonia and nothing to do with Fibre itself (though can't say that a small part might not be related, just that the known causes are not considered to be linked to fibro by my treating specialists.)

I am having a lot of problems with my legs lately. I am in horrific pain in them and they do feel like they are going to give out on me. My sister-in-law is having the same problem as well. We were talking and thinking it was because we had temperatures in the low 80s here and then we had a frost. We are now back up in the 70's and due for another frost tonight. With these big swing in temperatures are legs are extremely painful that we are not able to sleep even with our sleep aids and our arms are just as bad. Is this happening to people that you cannot hardly walk and have extreme leg and arm pain and have extremely fluctuating temperatures???
