Burning Pulling Pain Around Hips
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone experienced burning pains in your hips/lowerback like someone is consistently pulling your leg as hard as they can? It gets worse at night, but ive had to sit on a heating pad for the last few days. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has some tricks to make the pain go down a bit. Thanks!

I have bursitis in my hips and knees.
A massager works great for me. I hope it will for you as well. 😊

I get the hip pain especially at night. Can't sit still. Heating pad or Epsom salt bath helps. I have some stretches I was given when I had sciatica. Helps to work out some of the soreness. I also get massages every other week and just added chiropractic a couple weeks ago which is helping take away some of the nerve pressure. At this point I'm trying a combination of things to see what works best. On really bad days I do take pain meds and sleep. Hope you can find a combination that works for you!

I also want to start massages. I hear they do wonders. However, I was also told to try to find a massage therapist who is familiar with Fibro, etc because it can cause more damage. Don’t know if it’s true.

I use massager. Hurts at first. Takes time to let up. Then biofreeze

My heart is out to you! I’ve been learning to live with Fibro for the past 20+ years. And yes I’ve experienced that type of pain often. In my opinion it sounds like nerve pain due to the burning sensation. I live on heating pads. I have 4 of them. The only other thing I could suggest is some mild stretching. How long have you had Fibro? Do u see a rheumatologist or neurologist? They have some new medications that may help. I hope it subsided soon. But for me this has been a long battle of good and bad days. It’s frustrating. Like I said I’m still learning to live with it. You have to find what works for you, accept when you can’t do things, pace yourself, find what helps alleviate pain and what doesn’t. I’m not sure if I helped but wish you the best always!
