I wish we could take a survey on here with how many people that have fibro also had some kind of arthritis previously...Does Fibromyalgia and Arthritis (any kind) go hand in hand?
Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis Often Go Hand in Hand
Anyone afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis knows what it's like to live with chronic pain. And if the disease isn't bad enough in itself… read more
Hey
I just moved to Los Angeles from Denmark and are looking to try some new treatment for my Fibromyalgia. In Denmark they don't know much about Fibromyalgia which is why I am excited to try new treatments in LA. Does anyone know a good doctor in Los Angeles who knows about fibromyalgia treatments? Maybe someone who has knowledge about LDN. Has anyone tried LDN and does it work?
Rebecca :)
Both acupuncture or cupping didn't do much for me .
There seems to be conflicting opinion on whether there is inflammation associated with fibromaylgia or not.
"Although fibromyalgia is often considered an arthritis-related condition, it is not truly a form of arthritis (a disease of the joints) because it does not cause inflammation or damage to the joints, muscles, or other tissues."
Discuss.
The I inflammation is not within the joints as it is written arthritis, however it can occur around the connective tissue, muscle layers and organs. Inflammation is simply the bodies immune protection… read more
Over the past few months I have had increasingly painful jabs in my hand. Sometimes I can’t even open my hand enough to open a door with a door knob. Is this common? If so, what should I do?
I have neuropathy, osteoarthritis, and gout in both hands. The gout is unbearable leaving me unable to use my hands. I pray you do not have it.
Hi everyone I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, I really worried about how I’m going to deal with the pregnancy. I came of all medication once I found out and I’ve been in pain since, not sleeping and just feeling exhausted. I know pregnancy in general makes you feel like crap but some days I’ve been in tears with the pain! Just wanted to see how others who have had a pregnancy with Fibro have coped.
Many thanks xx

I find it very interesting that so many of us experience the same or similar symptoms.
I keep reading different and hearing different answers...is Fibromyalgia an inflamation issue? Does it cause it? Is it a result of it?
I constant battle inflammation with my sinuses, bladder and colon. It would make sense that since our body is constantly on overload that we would have inflamation.
I have a dumb question:
What do you mean when you say this food increases inflammation?
What inflammation do you mean? Nerve, joints?
I read this word every day in your chats and I don't get it.
I read some months ago that fibro has nothing to do with inflammation.
Pharma, Insurance, and Healthcare count on our world becoming sicker and sicker, it's good for business.
I found a question and answer on Google that just doesn't make sense to me. First I read that it may be different in different people,, meaning (?} that it could be autoimmune. Then it says Fibro is not autoimmune, which I thought it is. So, here's Google's answer.
Is fibromyalgia autoimmune or neurological?
They may be different in different people. Current research suggests involvement of the nervous system, particularly the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Fibromyalgia is… read more
From what I understand it is not autoimmune. It is neurological and muscular. But, I am no expert.
