Has anyone heard of chronic subjective dizziness or Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD)? Lately I have been experiencing very debilitating dizziness. I used to only get it every once in awhile but now it's been pretty much everyday for the past 2 weeks. This is following a period of very high anxiety and panic attacks. My anxiety and panic is much more under control now, but the dizziness remains. Sometimes it's accompanied with brain fog and sometimes with headaches too or nausea… read more

No one is completely sure why people with fibromyalgia have such intense problems with dizziness. However, it has been noted there are trigger points in the jaw and neck that can create a sensation of dizziness. This may be due to the nerves sending signals to the brain about where the body is in its environment.
A study, by researchers found that people with fibromyalgia were more likely than those without the chronic pain condition to have poor balance, tingling and weakness in the arms and legs, as well as dizziness and other “neurologic” signs and symptoms.
For myself personally if your dizzy spells are making you nauseous then see your Doctor to get something to help you with that problem.

I suffer from dizziness periodically. There for awhile, it was such a daily occurrence that my husband didn't want me driving. It comes unexpectedly and anxiety does make it worse for me also. I tried the exercises on YouTube with no success. My PCP referred me to therapy but its on the other side of town so I never went. I'm glad you're getting it checked out. I hope all checks out well and something that can be easily resolved. Take care.
Hi, Have been through this and all. Was eventually diagnosed with vestibular migraine (though I don't have migraines - used to though) with BPPV which is similar - though different - google it. I was also diagnosed with a histamine intolerance. Lucky for me some medications treat it, though the chief one DAO (diamine oxidase), is a little (read a LOT) expensive, and after taking this for close to a month now, I am feeling so much better. I also take Periactin for the vestibular migraine dizziness, and Nizatadine for the stomach problems. I was sent to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist who referred me to a special physiologist who treats this type of dizziness also the BPPV. Though this is not entirely fixed, I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
All the best with this. There is hope, you just have to go to the right Specialist.
@A MyFibroTeam Member did you ever get brain fog, headache, or nausea with it? I get those as well but usually those arr short lived snd dont bother me as nuch as the dizziness. Not sure if those are from anxiety, meds, or the PPPD
