Red Hot Cheeks - Do You Suffer? What’s The Cause?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else suffer from red hot cheeks, one or both at a time?
I’ve had this regularly for many years and never had an answer for this. It’s not a hot flush as my whole face goes red and sweaty, this is very different. It can last for many hours and is burning hot to the touch. My GP was fairly dismissive of this but had no answer either. Any thoughts and advice? Thanks Fx

Yes, I have been getting that for many, many years. One side, usually left and my upper left arm. I also get both cheeks and both upper arms. Even in the cold winter months! It has caused capillaries to break on my cheeks. It takes quite a long time for these broken capillaries to heal, or go away. I put anything cold on my face. My hands, water bottle..

I have the same, for decades. Includes my upper, outer arms. Hot and Red. I lost a cousin to Lupus. What ever I have, I am ready to go home. Something to look forward to. Lol
Today, have a headache, sore throat, ear ache, Back ache and Fatigue. I have been studying since 8 this morning. Stopped. No strength to make meal. Cottage cheese and yogurt. Look forward to another day, hopefully minus the yucky feeling. The darn headache feels like a dagger going through my brain. I will just click my heels together....🍩

Yes I have both my cheeks get really red at times. Have to take a Panadol Soluble to see if it changes colour not all the time.
Still don't know what is causing it, definitely get my Doctor to test me for lupus.

Is it brought on by the heat or sunlight? Many people are dealing with skin issues of all kinds, including myself. Mine started a few months after I had covid. Makes you wonder.... Unfortunately, I have not found a magic pill like I was hoping for. I am on an inflammatory diet and take supplements to reduce redness and itching. I also take 1 Zyrtec every morning for now. My doctor doesn't have a clue. I am praying these new symptoms are taken away! I hope any of this info helps you and you get some relief!😊💗
