Did anyone fibro start gradually?
For example mine hit hard and fast , pain started in my right calf/lower leg hours after a flight so they initially suspected a clot especially as by the next day it affected both legs
This was ruled out after tests.
The pain remained in my lower body(waist down) for 5 years until about 7 months ago I stated getting the same pains in my left arm then also in my right arm.
I’m to scared to go to the gp as I don’t want him to confirm it’s spreading for want… read more
Mine started about 22 years ago but I didn’t know what it was then. I would get flu-like aches and fatigue out of nowhere for a few days. Then my symptoms would disappear..fast forward to 2018, when I was first diagnosed. Mine has progressed to widespread pain all over every day. I get flares due to stress or over-activity. Pain can get severe, so I must take medicine. It has progressed now that I am older. Don’t be afraid to see a doctor, if you need to. My GP doesn’t know everything, but she works with me.
Mine started gradually with just a back and neck ache. I thought i was working out too much. A year later, alot of awful trauma (thanks 2019) and its in my hip, chest, back, knee, and other areas along the left side of my body
My fibro started when I was young. I was about 12 or 13 years of age. I started having severe headaches. And my lower back hurt terribly. I was required to help with garden work, so every summer it was awful. I finally found out the headaches were Cluster headaches I'm not sure. It could have been migraines. I suffered with these headaches until I gave birth to my daughter. I had a few afterwards. I was also achy for a long time. Finally, when I was married, I started searching for answers. However, I didn't receive the diagnosis until38 or 39 years old. I have had it since, and goes to different parts of my body. Recently I have started having fatigue take over, so I also sleep a good day away. It doesn't hit every day, but it happens quick. I also am experiencing swelling in my knees down through my feet. I don't know if that is part of fibro, but I also have really painful legs to the touch. I may also have alladonia! Forgive my spelling! So mine gradually took over younger and has advanced.
I've had it for 30 years and it has gotten progressively worse.
