Lower Back And Leg Pain Whilst Led Down.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys,
Just wanted to ask, if anyone has lower back and leg pain that radiats on the outside of both legs right down to their feet when led down? As I get it but not all the time. When I do I want to chop my legs off to ease the pain.

Hello yes I often have this type of pain. I think it relates to sciatic nerve problems. Once it startes it is hard to relax and get rest. My doctor prescribed Baclofen which helps some. I find that massage and seeing the chiropractor helps too

I have that sometimes. I also have spinal stenosis, spondyletitis and bone on bone arthritis in lower back besides Fibro that contribute to sciatic and piriformis pain in hip and leg. I take Baclofen (muscle relaxer) when its bad and it helps the muscles that are guarding and spasming to relax. There are stretching exercises that can help sciatic and piriformis muscle pain, like knee to chest, prone hamstring stretches, pelvic tilts. cat to cow, etc. I went to pt and was shown how to do them, you can look them up online.

I can definitely relate to this, not sure if it is fibro related or just sciatica, I get it when I am standing or lying down and also Charlie horse like pain in lower legs and feet. My legs will sometimes go so cold and the pain is horrible and I definitely cannot sleep when they get like that, Fortunately the cold leg thing only happens occasionally Sometime the pain is worst in the hip area but radiates right down to the toes. I can still walk but stumble a lot more and my feet will feel so heavy they are hard to lift, I have not found anything to help with this yet and no answers from the doctor.
