Hi
Would love to hear what type of exercise is even partially sustainable. I find it so demotivating starting any form exercise to stop when in flare. And then when im able to return feels like I'm at the bottom of the mountain again.
Any thoughts?
All ive been doing is walking. Ride stationary bike when yucky outside
I generally have luck doing stretches, balance exercises and walking. The stretches and balance exercises are particularly helpful in the morning as they get my muscles loosened up and I don't get so sore then throughout the day I try to walk for a few minutes as often as I can. I have like to get a total of 3000 steps a day but often can't get that many. I don't stress about that as long as I am still moving every day. I just do the best I can.
For me I've found doing slow flow yoga the gentlest way to move, stretch and strengthen my body. It is often a battle of mind over body, I'm so fatigued and sore all the time. I definitely feel the difference in my body when I practice around 30 - 40mins 4-5 days a week and notice it even more when I don't do it. My favourite YouTube channel is Fightmaster Yoga with Lesley.
I like to do stretches. Nothing specific I just stretch. I have some formal exercise as I do but only on the days I feel up to it. I've learned not to do it otherwise because then I end up hurting more.
Have you tried tai chi? Slow gentle movements. It's helped me keep going for years.
