I was diagnosed with TMD and given Melixicam (NSAID) with Pepcid since I told the doctor I'd previously had an ulcer. (not good advice) It didn't help and just aggravated my stomach. I was then told I should see a dentist that specializes in TMJ. My primary care dr referred me to a specialist who wanted FIVE THOUSAND dollars for a consultation...not to treat me or anything...just to determine what to do. A jaw physical therapist would be preferable to Botox . Have you looked for a therapist who is licensed in jaw therapy ? It gets to the source instead of just covering up the symptoms . Ask a therapy clinic for the name of one or google . If they don’t have one on their staff , they can refer you to one or ask your dr to find . Don’t give up . If one PT clinic doesn’t have , then try another . It took me two tries .

Sounds like you may be grinding your teeth at night and maybe in the daytime too. There are over the counter mouth guards that you can try. It may help.

Go to pain center... find mew primary care they are capable of managing fibromyalgia poor Drs or UN informed won’t believe me you’ll get mad lots of ignorance on fibromyalgia it is proven neurological glitch heightens our pain sensors all over muscle bone tissue joint etc... they don’t treat a person with broken bones sticking out by telling them to work out so stop doing it to us.. report doctors nurses clinics whom fail to treat yoy or help u find adequate treatment for you... Why would you waste so much time and money. For no help??

Try to find a dr that can do botox. Botox is beneficial bc it freezes your mussels so you do t feel the pain for least 6-8 month
