Has Anyone Had A Flare Up That Has Last More Than A Week Without Any Relief
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I have had severe pain in my back and legs for over a week now. I am either in bed or in my recliner. I an in extreme pain just to walk a few feet to the bathroom and back. I can't reach my doctors office until Monday. I am on Lyric celebrex, nortriptiline, a muscle relaxer that I can't remember and I am not where I can get to meds right not. Does anyone have any suggestions of I can do for some relief.

Hello Diane ,I understand how you feel ,have been there ! I would suggest lots of therapeutic bath soaks especially in some Epsom salts or magnesium flakes ,if that's possible also a few paracetamol and hot drink would help ! Hope you manage to get some relief from your flare up ,take care stay safe warmest wishes β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘πŸ‘€πŸ‘₯πŸŒπŸŒπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

When I get a flare, pain can be severe.. My Dr prescribed Nucynta 50 mg which is a class II narcotic. It works amazingly well about twice the strength of tramadol..I use it sparingly and only when I can’t stand the pain. It is expensive but my dr. was able to get my insurance to cover it..if we take any meds for a long time, most of us will find that the meds stop working. Some medications can even make pain worse over time..Ugh!!The exception is extra strength tylenol. For my regular daily pain, I take it 3 times a day along with a high potency high quality cbd oil. Tylenol is great for nerve pain and makes the CBD work better. No side effects for me with this regimen. You do build a tolerance to the cbd over time but I have found if I take a break from it now and then(like one week,) it works again just fine.. so sorry you are hurting so much.. definitely call your doctor...

I am sorry u are suffering a flare. Sadly, yes , flares can last much longer than a week. I think my longest amd strongest flare was 18 months. My normal meds usually get me to a 3/4 on good days but dueing a flare my meds barely get me to a 6 out of 10. Taking it easy, finding something to help get ur mind off your pain as much as possible and still taking your meds as normal. Heating pads, warm baths and light movement if possible also helped me get through it but it is really just getting the flare up down and i am not sure there is anything for that but time. Gentle hugs
