Yes, it helps me to eat GF.. I haved RA & Fibro 20+ yrs.. had blood work for food allergies, found out lots of food I ate was wrong for me! I didn't have symptoms from most or so I thought.. inflammation is hidden & silent..
I'm not gluten intolerant, but my foods to avoid follow the GF diet (Wheat, Rye, Barley, etc), dairy, eggs, crab, beef, pork, coffee, chocolate, & more!! Also, avoid combining "Nightshade" foods if inflammation is high. It's really hard to avoid everything all the time & after 2mo following a strict diet & writing down everything I ate/drank, I was also told not to be OCD about it or I wouldn't succeed.. I'm trying to remember the wording she said to me, something close to this I think..

It can take up to: 3-3-3
3 days for food to leave the body
3 weeks for body to acknowledge the change
3 months for the body to heal

Anyone else heard this before? I try to follow even if I cheat.. I just start over & keep trying. I need to write it down again & flag my cheats.. it helps me do better. Hope it helps you.. gentle hugs ❤️🙏👵

Hi Denva, I have been doing GF again for the past 10 weeks and have notice a big improvement on how I am feeling! Going GF has also dropped my blood sugar & meds alot. I am type 2 diabetic.. I have lost 20 lbs and just feel more energy. I am in a small flare now do to having a bladder infection. Infections set it off for Me.. But I can say they're so much more manageable!!! I love the feeling its so worth it to Me! Wishing You Good Luck.. I know its not easy. After My Chemo I went GF and Sugar Free for 9 months during the Holidays I asked My Doc what to do She said its ok to cheat.. Well I found out I am not a Cheater..LoL I remembered everything I gave up and went wild. Now I have it under control. I don't miss the food either. I just make what I can GF! Thanksgiving was great. While my kids were having Pie .. I had a small dish of Choc Puddings with Whipcream .. I was completely satisfied. I made GF Stuffing and had GF bread when they ate rolls. My weakness was always bread. :) I can't tell You how much happier I feel!!! Wishing You All the Best!

Yes it helps keep my ibs in check. I had no other options. At 33ish, I was having joint pain, ibs issues and crazy hives-itching everywhere. Doing a allergy test gave me a heads up as to what to avoid.

Yes just recently I've changed my diet cut out gluten and dairy eating much more fruit and veg which in itself is quite an achievement for me as not a big fruit person but I started to make fruit smoothies as well as eating more veg ect and have noticed quite good results! My pain is abit less intense my digestive system has greatly improved my energy levels have improved a little and not quite so stiff ect! Haven't been doing it for long so maybe and hopefully there will be even more improvement. Cutting down on gluten dairy ect play a big part in reducing inflammation around the body also in turn reducing pain too! I up to now feel better for changing my diet! How long that continues who knows and as I always say what suits one person doesn't suit another but so glad I gave it a try and will be continuing with the change
