You might want to buy a blood pressure monitor and take your BP a few times a day, morning, evening. It changes throughout the day. Document the readings, perhaps it is only high at the doctor' s office (white coat syndrome)? Weight loss can help, exercise can help, stress reduction, meditation can help. Try not to stress out on it. I had consistently elevated BP for about 5 months then went down back to normal. From about 150/90 to125/70, I think mine was due to stress. Doctors have extensive experience with blood pressure medications and they can find the right one for you if necessary. Propranolol (beta blocker) for instance also prescribed to reduce anxiety not only to reduce blood pressure. You can always start on low dosage to see how you react to it. Please do not be scared, you can handle this. If you have any concern if you see your BP going up, consult your doctor so you guys can make plans how to control it.

Prayers sent. I take blood pressure medication as well with all the other medicines. My blood pressure was up, up more then normal. I've been on medication for 2 or 3 years. I had no side effects at all. Best of luck. Hugs and Prayers

Yes please see your doctor about your blood pressure being up because you don’t want to damage your kidneys or other medical situations!

The past thing I feel like doing with fibromyalgia is exercise but that seems to be the key for lowering anxiety and high BP. Be praying for you!
