A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone
I would like to know if anyone here has urethral stricture, I recently got an urologist who told me that surgery is the only way out. I'm a bit scared of the fact that using an urinary catheter is mandatory after the surgery. I've read that catheters can make the urethral stricture worse
Perhaps it has nothing to do with fibromyalgia but the urologist said that hormonal issues can be one cause for this problem.
If anyone here has had surgery for this I'd love to know how it… read more

@A MyFibroTeam Member , oh honey please make sure you get a second or third app, I had surgery on my bladder and then 2 years to the same month i had the same surgery, and now it is oh so hard to urinate , please believe me i have to pray or simply say please let me urinate and that works most of the time . Also as i am urinating it will just stop but will still have a full bladder ! Now my aunt had the same thing and was fine ! but if you do get sent home with catheter please make sure you clamp it off for an half hour then leave open for a few hours over and over ! i have had 14 cath's so far my grand kids call them Charlie 1 , 2 and on and on ! Wishing and Praying that the Lord bless you and keep safe from harm ! Smooches Pooches
