Hi, I have been experiencing off balance symptoms for years, sometimes to the extent that I topple over and have to get a hold of anything nearby to not fall down on the ground. Also experiencing numbness, especially in my hands which makes it extremely difficult to use my hands. I know the tingling and stinging symptoms as well, sometimes feel like a bee sting and pins and needles....
Balance is alwsys an issue for those with fibro. I looked it up at one point and the National insitutes of health (either that or the CDC, i don't remember which) said the people with fibro are 6 times more likely to fall than people without it.
Trying to put on pants and underwear is usually a chore trying to balance on one foot. I usually have to have something to lean up against. I have a lot of problems standing on chairs. I try to avoid doing it as much as possible. I find it difficult to try to even climb on a chair. Once one leg is up, it is so hard to get the other leg up. Why do I even try to do so? I have stuff that I want to put up in my classroom, so I try to do it myself without asking for help.
Oh yes!
*raising hands*
My feet and hands have been going numb for about a year now. No rhyme or reason why and no rhyme or reason when it will happen. It is unnerving when it happens when I am driving for it worries me. My doctor has done all kind of test it is not a circulation problem or anything else she could find.
The unbalance, yup. I can be sitting down watching tv and I feel; unbalance which is frustrating.
I hate to say yup fibo to this or that but the longer I am on this site the longer I am learning how wide spread and multitude of symptoms fibro gives us.
No wonder it takes us so long to a/get diagnosed and b/ get people to believe us if ever
