Do You Have Frequent Falls Or Near Falls And Tripping?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had two major falls in the last couple of months and many close calls over the last 6 months to a year. In one of the falls, I broke my nose and had to have surgery. I also trip a lot, often over my own two feet. I also have Meniere's ear and constant ringing in that ear. I had cataract surgery about 1 1/2 years ago and ever since I have episodes of blurry vision. Had an MRI of my head yesterday. Should get those results on Monday. Just thought maybe y'all could give me some… read more

Hubby has recently install a steel railing on our back steps because I kept falling off. Have not broken any bones yet.

We all need to work on our balance because as we age it weakens. That is why seniors tend to fall. Google balance exercises and do them everyday.

Yeah I do fall quite a bit. Luckily Ive never hurt myself to break anything. But it is to the point where when I fall and tell anyone close to me they just say “again?!?”. Ive fallen down my own stairs 6-7 times, my father in laws stairs, and ive fallen grocery shopping at least twice. All in the last few years. Its like my leg gives out suddenly. I do have sciatica and herniated disc so that is what Ive always blamed it on in the past. But you do have me wondering now.

I don't fall that often, but I do get the blurry vision and dizziness which can be quite annoying.

Your cataract surgery that resulted in blurry vision needs reassessing maybe? I know blurriness is a typical side effect sadly but it may be corrected with updated eyeglasses every year. Is it in just one eye or both?

Also, do you have peripheral/small fiber neuropathy as that resulting numbness can affect your balance.

I am sorry to hear how serious these issues are for you! ⚘💚
