Infected Tooth And Flare Ups
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a tooth that desperatly needs to be pulled and has become infected, however all the dentists offices are still closed due to Covid 19. I think this tooth is causing my current flareup (fatigue and all over body pain). Does anyone have any tips on how to help with dental issues until I cam have this tooth pulled?

As long as you dentsist wears a mask & you all practice good hand hygiene- all Fibro should have a small bttle sanitiser in handbag.
As for toothache you can try crushing an aspirin on it - just beofre meals. We used to use Oil of cloves straight on it but it is hard to buy.

I see you are located in TN. I should add that I am in Southern Calif and my dentist wants me to come in next week for a routine dental cleaning. Now I wondering if it is safe to do so? Hmm

So sorry to hear this! I had an infected tooth for a while without knowing it. What helped me during that time was: using sensodyne mint toothpaste. Periosciences mouthwash, natural rinse. And Periosciences gel. You can just google that brand and see all the options they have. They gave me a soothing effect, more like a bandaid than solution, but some relief. Also (probably not wise) but sugar free coconut ice cream gave me relief too since it was cold. Also, ice packs. But, I hope you can get the tooth pulled soon! That pain is no joke!

Sometimes dentist order antibiotics to treat the infection before it is fixed or pulled. Does a dentist have hotline that you can call to get it prescribed ? Anbesol may help.
