The only thing I have used with others that they seem to understand is that my body hurts from head to toe like it does when you have the flu, but without the high temperature. If someone wants to try to understand then this might help them. If they do not want to understand/believe, then no amount of describing will help them. That is not on you, that is on them.

My sister, who is My best friend, believes me and loves me. She tells me that I look fine to her, even when she knows I am in pain. She is not trying to hurt my feelings. She wants me to know what other people see when they look at me.
