Upright MRI/Rotational CT Scan
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone been able to find a doctor who will do this/order this?

I'm growing weary of getting supine MRIs & finding out they're not comprehensive enough-but doctors dont seem to realize that.

Any suggestions or names would be appreciated.

Oh my goodness! It's my guess, if it were him or his family, there would have been more than 1 MRI. A closed MRI caused me to suffer with panic attacks, so says the Drs. NEVER will I have another! Didn't know they had upright MRIs.The last MRI I had, scheduled at a hospital, I called to ask if it was closed. They said yes, I said NO.They called other hospitals, all were closed kind.Cancelled that, called my PCP, they got an appt abt 15 min away in a closed one.It went great, no problems.😊

An open MRI can be done uptight or supine-the concept of open is different than the position.

No,⚘⚘⚘ but I want to thank you because you just posted what amounts to a public service announcement 🥰🥰🥰 I've never even heard of those BUT I went through an entirely unnecessary surgery and 3 ongoing years of pain and loss because afterwards the surgeon claimed that the ONE/single MRI that he said he relied in for both diagnosis and treatment, "wasn't clear!" 🤥....then why did he rely on it!! 🤬👹 ......🤑🤑🤑😈

Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member, yes, I agree, im sure that the doctor would've ordered another mri for himself or his family member. That's one reason why it was so disingenuous to say the least, malpractice more apt.

Did you mean that you found an open mri machine? That's not the same as an upright or rotational, just open vs closed on the supine style, correct? Just want to make sure....gentle elbow bump to you 😉😁
