CRPS is a form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or a leg and usually it develops after an injury, surgery, stroke or even a heart attack. It doesnt have the same symptoms that Fibromyalgia has. Your doctor should be able to differentiate the testing required for each illness.

CRPS, I know a lot about it. Unfortunately I have a friend who has it. It is caused by getting an injury that isn't taking care of the right way or not at all. In my friends case, she had a broken bone in her wrist. Instead of getting an Xray first, they sent her to physical therapy and tried other things. By the time she finally got the Xrays it was too late. I pray that this isn't what you have. This condition is 100 times worse than fibromyalgia. She is in constant pain. Dr.s aren't educated enough about it. She has to beg just to get the stronger medications. With this condition, even a breeze is so painful. Taking a bath or shower feels like torture. She can't sleep or have things touch her skin. She has a device in her back, kinda like a tens unit. She goes into the hospital for ketamine treatments every 3 to 4 months. Go on line and read about both conditions and pray that it's fibro and not CRPS.
