This is a baffling symptom for me. I've had four million (slight exaggeration) MRI (with and without contrast), CT Scans and even a DMX (digital motion) X-ray.
But If I press on the lower back of my head where that bundle of tiny muscles is over the spine, I get paresthesia quite badly where it feels I can't sit still. It's bad around my neck and will travel around my head and even trigger it throughout my body.
What the heck is going on and what can I do to minimize my symptoms?
I've had similar issues and constant headaches. I was recently diagnosed with occipital nueralgia. I would suggest maybe looking it up to see if you have any of the symptoms or maybe mention it to your dr. Hopefully you find relief soon.
As those things happen it can be scarey I know for me it kept sending me to the ER n having my doctor run all kinds of test to rule things out it does attack whole body for some along with the 18 trigger points such as neck shoulders collar bone arms etc very much worse when we have other things on top of that I myself do epsom salt bath pain creams heated blanket heating pad just to try n get through the pain as the pills do nothing for me I also use pain patches praying for a low pain day today
I wish someone could answer that question. Right now I have pain along both sides of my neck. I massage the area a bit sometimes I put heat on it. It gives minimal relief. The rest of my body is in excruciating pain. Fibro. is a syndrome. It attacks my whole body. I hope relief comes to us very soon. Prayers and Hugs. Susan
