Does anyone take Rheumate? My rheumatologist/ fibro doctor prescribed it. Insurance would not cover it. Does anyone have experience with this drug, did you suffer side effects, and why was it prescribed?
methotrexate one of the first chemotherapy agents in the 1940s-50s for blocking folic acid production in cell cycle replication of cancer cells and all of our cells for that matter also used for rheumatoid arthritis in very small doses to block the inflammation cycle of rheumatoid arthritis works by blocking rna transcription of folic acid
Google says it’s a multivitamin. Check interactions with certain drugs
I don’t think Rheumate is a drug, it sounds more like a supplement used for people that take methotrexate. From what I’ve read, it’s for the management of the metabolic effects of methotrexate. I didn’t see it was used for anything else 🤷🏼♀️
Never heard of it...sorry.
Thanks. I looked it up as well. I did not take methotrexate. The doctor stressed that it had folic acid, several vitamins. She did not explain why she wanted me to take it. I got the impression it was used mainly for rheumatoid arthritis, and I don’t have that.
