Anyone Use A Chiropractor?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just started to use the chiropractor and finish my 10th visit. I do think it is helping a little bit with the arthritis I have in my back. I still have fibromyalgia but the pain I’m feeling from the arthritis seems to be getting a little bit better. Thoughts?

I’ve said this before, I probably sound like a broken record 🤷🏼‍♀️ I never said the word chiropractor without the work quack following it. My neck and shoulders were in so much pain and my arms were going numb, it got so bad I didn’t know what to do. I’m sure I looked really sexy at night for my husband coming to bed with wrist splints and a neck brace (diagnosed with carpal tunnel and thoracic outlet syndrome) I saw 2 different Ortopedics, they both agreed on my diagnosis. Physical therapy was making it worse, the last Orthopedic wanted to do surgery. I really didn’t want to go that route if I didn’t have to. I found a well known good chiropractor about an hour away. It was worth the time and money (at that time my insurance did not cover it) my neck is so much better, my shoulders do not hurt anymore and my arms don’t go numb when I sleep. If I would have gone through with the surgery it would have been a waste of time and money and I may have been in more pain. There are horrible chiropractor’s out there, I know because I visited one years ago. But if you find a good one, they can work miracles. I still see one when my neck starts bothering me, she isn’t as good as the one that I was driving an hour one way to see...but she is a close second and only a mile from our house.

I have been to Chiropractors. The first one was terrible. He spent 5 minutes with me cracking my back (I didn’t like this) then put me on a traction machine for the rest of my appointment. I believe it made my cervical spine pain worse. I tried about 10 sessions and stopped. I was wary of going to another, but did on a good recommendation and he was good...very hands on but even he said he could only do so much for me structurally. Some people have amazing results with Chiropractic treatments and others don’t. If it’s helping, that’s great! 🤗💕

I see a chiro and have been doing so for years. Mine does adjustments and also a massage. It's pretty normal to spend min 30 minutes with him, often longer. He's a gem.

I see one every week. My back is always so much worse if I don't go see him. Other pain is still the same and sometimes my chest is worse, but my back I always feel a difference!

I go to a chiropractor.. he is absolutely amazing! You need to find the right one. My chiropractor dosent just do adjustments and I've never once been put in traction. EVERY time I see him I leave better than when I walked in. He will spend an hour to an hour 30 mins per session. I could never say enough good things about him
