Several weeks ago I was put on Lamictal for my seizure activity. I broke out with a bunch of cold sores. My daughter was sick and I lost allot of sleep so I thought it was just from being run down.
Then I had white sores all over my tongue and throat. Felt feverish. No fever.
Broke out in a purple rash on my back. Stopped Lamictal immediately. I am nurse ( non active atm due to health) but it's a side effect of Lamictal. Called my neuro confirmed stopping.

I think the last post was very good advice.
What would you do if you were talking about your daughter's throat? We take better care of others than we do ourselves. You could have a virus or a bacteria. Please go get checked. You don't want to chance passing it on to your daughter. And they can possibly help you feel better!
