Okay fibro family I need your help with this one. I've had fibro for a couple of years and have gone through many of the symptoms. Over the last six months I have changed my diet to an antihistamine diet, I got allergy tested and I am now in my second month of allergy shots. others have commented that they noticed my pain disappears within an hour of me taking my allergy shots. Has anyone experienced this? My pain level has been better over the last couple of months, I don't want to get my hopes… read more
Yes it makes sense Claritin-D is a antihistamine, which means it lowers histamine in the body and since histamine causes inflammation and can trigger fibro, antihistamine helps with fibro flares. Unfortunately I learned the hard way I can't take Claritin, so it's allergy shots for me.glad you found something that can help you. For the drainage I learned if I went milk and dairy free , my drainage was reduced by 90% . Hope you have a pain-free day...prayers and hugs.
I took Claritin D years before I got fibromyalgia. I switched over to a nasal spray then stopped everything. I was diagnosed with fibro in 2014. My allergies started bothering me again in 2017 so I went back on the Claritin D, it wasn’t helping with the horrible drainage I was getting (that’s a whole other story of what was causing the drainage 🙁) after a month I stopped taking them. I didn’t notice that they were helping feel better until I stopped them. I now take them daily to help with my fibro, if I run out of them, after a few days I start feeling really bad. I don’t understand how Claritin D can help my fibromyalgia, but some how they do. I hope all this makes since.....I’m having a fibro fog day today 🤷🏼♀️
I’ve been dairy free over 25 years. My drainage is from LPR, there wasn’t much I could do with my eating habits because I’ve cut just about everything out 🙁 I did find not eating after 9pm helped a lot.
That's an interesting question. I used to take allergy shots for a few years. I can't remember having as many issues as I have now that I'm off of them. I was up to two vials a week and it was getting pricey continuing the injections. I should go back to them and see if I notice any difference in symptoms. Thanks for asking the question.
