I know a lot of people have previously posted about rib pain and it seems to go along with Fibro but I’m starting to feel like I’m crazy. I’ve had an X-ray, ultrasound, full cardiac workup to make sure it wasn't my heart and more recently an endoscopy. Everything has been clear and my docs have told me I’m healthy and it’s just Costocondritis, but this has been going on since February in both of my ribs, mostly the lower ones sometimes going into my breast bone but never usually my upper chest… read more
Im with Bev, havent worn a bra for over a year and if I must I wear a crop top instead. Otherwise too much pain. Free the flopping! 🤣
I've had fibromyalgia over 40 years and all kinds of things have cropped up and have been told most times it's just the fibro. But I was told the rib pain is costochondritis and some of my ribs get out of place and have to have them manipulated back in place. The last MANIPULATIon hurt so bad that from now on they will stay out of place. Lol
Mj85🦋... Many of us have this. I know it’s awful, mine seems to always be there, but sometimes worse than others. And it seems for me, nothing I’m doing is triggering it, it’s always sore and tender, and sometimes hurts when I breath in. Costochronditis seems to affect a lot of us. I haven’t found anything to help sooth it. Sometimes it’s tolerable and other times it’s really painful. I hope you find some relief to ease it. Sending you healing hugs🦋💜🦋, Deb
@A MyFibroTeam Member have you had your iron and ferritin levels checked? When mine are low or im iron defecient/ameamic I crave ice or iced water. Its called Pica. People can crave non-food items like, Ice, chalk, mud etc. Its thought to be due to your bodies natural way to try to restore minerals in the body. I went through so much ice I even knew where to get the good ice from/had my favourite types 🤦♀️🤣 It may not be that in your case but I thought it useful to mention mine.
I also have intense pain in my rib cage, so much so, that a bra is not an option anymore . If I do wear one , the pain afterwards is simply THE WORST. I feel for anyone that has this ailment added on to the fibro nightmare . Just gonna keep flopping along🤭
