I have a lot of pain when trying to sit. I was wondering if there is anyone else with that problem and what you did to correct the problem?
I have my travel or socializing survival kit. After fibromyalgia and two back surgeries, i have leaned what works for me.
I carry a special back pillow everywhere. Restaurants, movies, friends homes, and car.
I also have a packages of instant ice in the car at all times.
Most important I don’t sit in one place for very long. Car trips i get out snd stretch every hour.
I have problems with my spine and neck sobriding or sitting for a long time gets very uncomfortable and sometimes very painful. I try to avoid long trips and at restaurants if I have pain from sitting too long I just get up and walk around a few minutes
Riding or sitting for long periods of time will cause my fibromyalgia to flare up. Went on vacation a couple of months ago and was in the car for approximately 12 hours stopping periodically to stretch and walk around or get something to eat. The next day after getting home, I was so tired and sore that I couldn’t move around or anything without pain all over. This lasted several days. And, if I sat down for a minute, I was so tired that I would go to sleep. I was quite active while on vacation, walking, swimming, etc. so I don’t know if it was a combination of overdoing and riding too. Since then, I have noticed that riding and sitting has an effect on my pain.
No. Almost 20 years ago I slipped on the ice and dis-located my SI joint and every since then it has been hard to sit for more than 30 minutes at a time.
Thank you.
