I want to go back to college..but not sure my career field will work for me (construction manager) with the pains i get and random leg weakness when active(walking or excercise) what jobs have you found to work for you?

I want to add my current job is driving 6 hours a day, that is exhausting for me and im always worn by night and need a 2 hour midday nap to make it through. Some days i have to call off due to weakness or severe brain fog or so mich pain i have to crawl out of my seat.

I think a career that is flexible with schedule or work from home would be best for you. I was working in an office but then my company went through financial challenges so we ended up working from home. It was a very stressful change for my company but a blessing in disguise for me because I ended up having to not have to drive and rest when I'm in pain. I also disclosed to my boss that I suffer from Fibromyalgia, but it took me a while to disclose it because I was afraid that they will replace me. But thankfully he was very empathetic. There are many careers now that will allow you to have flexible time as well as the ability to work from home. It really depends on what you enjoy to do. I would recommend looking up positions in UpWork.com. Upwork allows you to be a freelancer so you can work on a project on your own terms and the comfort of your home. Best of luck to you.

My husband is a construction project manager. I would not advise it. It is a high energy, high demand and high stress job. You could be tied to a desk all day or be on a plane traveling to meet with engineers. You would not have time for naps. You need to keep track of details and every dollar spent and contracts. I would not advise it. The stress would be very hard on you.
