Who Has Used Lidocaine Infusion? Pros And Cons?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Lidocaine infusion was suggested since ive tried all the meds i can with my heart failure and meds. I had to ask my heart doctor so need a new ekg again. (Expensive!!) The closest facitlity is a round trip of 4 hours no traffic (ouch). So im curious have you done lidocaine infusion? Any pros? Any cons?

Hello, I just had lidocaine shots last Friday by my rheumatologist. She gave me 2 shots in my neck, 2 in my shoulders and 2 between my shoulder blades. It is helping! I wasn’t very hopeful but the pain in those areas is much better. I go back in 6 weeks so she can do the lower part of my back, etc. Its a 3 hour drive one way to see her but it’s worth the help I’ve gotten from her. My
primary doctor was out of suggestions. It doesn’t help all the other issues with fibromyalgia but it definitely helps!

Thanks, Karla

I had it done and had no issues, but i also have no heart issues. I however found the pain relief was minimal and only improved some of my general aches.
Also im supposed to have it done every 3 months and the dr is supposed to get back to me to rebook me if it helped. Its been 2 months and I havent heard back yet. So i dont expect to get back in anytime soon.

Oh I see. Maybe the infusions would be even better.

@A MyFibroTeam Member @A MyFibroTeam Member This is for infusion not injections 😬 so its through an iv into your blood stream. You have to be hooked up to an EKG and all incase it cuases heart problems, i have heart failure.
