i have recently been diagnosed with pcos:( the only form i can find of treating PCOS is with birth control but birth control sends my fibro on a chaos ride. can anyone recommend options?
Personally I take lo loestrin fe. It's a low dose pill. I have been on it off and on for 8 years or so and it hasn't messed with my fibro. I'm not sure if it'll help but it might be worth a shot.
I do but found metformin or the natural version berberine work for me
I had PCOs. Removed products with sodium laurel sulfate from my routine, and phyto estrogens. Things like lavender, rosemary etc. I also got wild yam old and rubbed it into my skin on specific times for my cycle. ( my hips, breast and stomach, i would rotate the areas) my PCOs was from being estrogen dominant. I too could not tolerate hormonal birth control.
This worked for me! I had hundreds and hundreds of cysts on my ovaries, lots of pain. Inculding one as big as a grapefruit that burst in the ER one time.
Check all your beauty and make up and soap products for that additives. It goes under multiple names as well. Best of luck!

PCOS is a difficult condition ( I used to treat a lot of PCOS patients when I was working as an Electrologist)
It may be an idea to take a thorough look at your diet for the Fibromyalgia as well
I don't know where you live but I do know of supplements used to treat men with prostate problems that can also be used for PCOS
