For over a week now I have had a tightness, almost squeezing feeling in my spine between my shoulder blades, in my shoulder blades, tops of shoulders and back of neck and head. The creepy crawly feeling under the skin could be paresthesia a symptom of a lack of serotonin in the brain synapses. Anti-depressants take care of that and Cymbalta is the one they prescribe for fibro patients. That's something you could mention to your doctor.
You have muscles in a tight spasm which is very uncomfortable and can be extreme painful. I get shots into the trigger points controling the spaszed out muscles. Google trigger points for diagrams that show you where they are. Another technique is acupressure on the trigger point - hurts whe you apply pressure but you muscles will start to relax immediately. There no pain free way out of it, I’m afraid. Chiropractors can realign the spinal column but tendons get stretched when you throw out tour back and the Chiropractor stretches the same tendons whe he puts it back in place.

I hope your feeling better, heat has always been best help for me...heating pad, heated corn pack, heated spa, hot epsom salts bath and magnesium supplement (lack of magnesium can contribute to spasams) and doing aqua theropy in a heated pool. Prayers and hugs.
I take an Epsom salt bath EVERY night and use CBD lotion afterwards. Without it, I can't even get the few hours of sleep I do.
