What Supplements Have You Found To Be Helpful.
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

We've all gathered some additional issues besides fibromyalgia and perhaps improving those other conditions can help ease pain perception from fibro because no matter what you have fibro will make it feel worse.

Here's my list and how I think they help the cause:

1. St. John's Wort is an herb that has been used to elevate moods for a long, long time. This mild herb can be had in tea blend.

2. Valerian root engenders sleep and can be had in pill form or in a tea blend such as Celestial… read more

A few days. I can't take all the supplements everyday, it's too many pills but I try to get them all in at least 3 times a week. I take my prescribed meds religiously except for the opioid which I take only when needed depending on the amount and quality of pain perception. I think my doctor calls it pain perception because I feel everything through the fibromyalgia filter which amplifies signals or simply misroutes them while reporting incorrect intensity. Have a restful night.

Gosh, that is quite a list. Mine is shorter.
Dr. Bach's flower remedies for calming and well being , all natural, no side effects.
One a night Kalms valerian root tabs to help promote sleep...don't work every night however, so I vary them with Cherry capsules
CBD capsules, (legally in UK THC component is very small I think 0.26?)
An occasional Diazepam to relieve spasms of Diverticulitis when it flares
Daily garlic tab.
Vitamin B 12 daily
1 to 3 Elthea daily, capsules with concentrated green tea.
Cannabis hemp seed oil gel applied regularly into painful areas.
Panax Ginseng 1 tab daily helps sense of well being.
Extra calcium with Vit D to protect bones
Paracetamol 2x4 daily are the only pain killer I can safely take due to erosive gastritis,.
Probiotic daily which helps healthy gut bacteria.

Brain tired now so will try to recall others when I can. Bedtime...Unfortunately my brain works overtime at night while my body does not, the temptation is to keep going and that is a BIG mistake, so nightie night for now. X

Thanks ladies, a great share. I take tumeric, 50,000 of vit d and a multi vitamin. I tried magnesium and alpha lipid but they gave me heart burn. I was told to add another pill with calcium and vit d together because my vit d is still at 19, 30 is normal

I should also mention the benefits pf green tea. The different in tea colors has to do with where the leaf of the tea plant is suplying the herb. I read the reason colon cancer is rare in Japan is because of the consumption of green tea which has a substance whose name I forgot that inhibits the growth of capillaries that cancer tumors need for growth. Its pleasant and almost entirely naturally caffeine free. I like Twinnings Green Tea. It’s a refreshing drink in Summer and blends well with other herbal teas.
