I have been on morphine patches for a couple of years ranging from 10mg to 30mg currently on 20mg and I want to get off them completley. My question is I am suffering terrible headaches which turn into daily migraines. Waking with a headache/migraine lasting all day and night. Could this be from the morphine patch which I’m starting to think so hence trying to wean off them. Appreciate any input.
I guess it could be. Morphine gave me the worst migraine I ever had. Also a pain clinic explained that if morphine is taken in higher doses, then eventually it will cause our pain to feel more intense. For instance may not be able to tolerate having bloods taken. I would suggest a planned reduction with the help of your doctor or ask for a pain clinic referral. I hope all goes well for you 🌸
I suffered bad migraines on the top of my right side of my head. I also get very bad tension headaches that I thought were migraines, but found out they weren't. I hope you find relief. I know of rebound headaches which are caused by medications, that could be the problem, but not sure. Sorry you are suffering so much.

I was having trouble with terrible daily migraines that nothing helped at times. I've now been on botox injections for about a year now and I rarely get a migraine anymore. 🐧
Migraines are tough, sorry your having them, hope they get better for you.
I posted this a while back. Has anyone found anything that works for severe migraines?? Drs arn’t into opioids, but has anyone found an opioid or anything that has helped take the pain away??
