Did Any Of You Doubt Your Diagnosis At First?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

This all started gradually last September. The longer I was vertical trying to work on a computer, the more pain I was in. If stress triggers fibromyalgia, let me just say this: we rebuilt our home after flooding from Hurricane Harvey whole working full-time. I think I already had Fibro while we were rebuilding. I’ve had facet joint injections, herniated disc injection, 7 months of PT, chiropractors care, and the pain just spread. None of my spine degeneration is enough to cause the pain I am… read more

Laying down is the only place for me I was Om cymbalta and the other one not heard of it I’ll mention it to my dr next time I see him and so far I’ve not found one med to be helpful or give me energy I feel it in my whole body but my back lower back and hips are definitely the worst. 🤗

You have gone through the unimaginable. I can only say that vertical and static standing are killer for me, causing severe low back, butt, and hip pain.
Ice packs help more than heat. Also you might want to try Savella instead of Cymbalta. Savella is advertized for fibro in the states but as an antidepressant in Europe. It increases the neurotransmittor norepinephrine twice as much as Cymbalta does and it gives you a bit of energy. Salompas patches also help my back pain, sold in bulk at Costco. Best Wishes

I’m the same I have arthritis as well and my specialist said that my bloods showed that my arthritis was under control because there was no more inflammation it should be gone so the meds are working for the arthritis side of things now it’s sorting out the fibromyalgia side of things and I can tell you it’s driving me nuts 🤗

I'm still doubting it. When I first went to my regular go, he said you have fibromyalgia and arthritis. Four years later my rheumatologist is only treating my for rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis. I'm in constant pain and after 6 months have stopped taking 3 meds and supplements. I'm confused about my diagnosis.

Try taking your meds before bed. I was like you in the respect of meds.
