My Dr has said he thinks I have fybro, he has done a full blood count which only showed up elevated white blood count and slight inflammation which has been normal for me the past 3 years, I am unsure if I do have this are there other tests that need to be done as I have spoke to others who have said that if I'm not sore all over or sore when someone or something touches me then it can't be fybro, I am very new to this illness so I'm not sure what all has to be tested
Epstein Barr Chronic Fatigue are different. There is no definitive blood test for fibro it is diagnosed by gender points on the body. A rheumatologist is the only doctor that can diagnose fibro.
Confused fibromyalgia is not tested by blood tests but by certain tender points in your body. Google them. When the doctor puts pressure on these points it pains. Look them up under fibromyalgia. You will ne sore in certain spots like your legs or ribs, feel tired and maybe confused sometimes.
The doctor who diagnosed me did extensive blood work. One of the thing he tested was all of the Ebstein Barr things. All of mine we're off the chart high. This along with a physical exam, family history and discussion of my symptoms, led to my diagnosis.
