Does Anyone Have A High Sed Rate From A Blood Test?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had some blood work done and had a high sed rate. Which I guess means inflammation in your body. Rheumatoid factors and blood/platelet tests looked good though. Anyone else have this issue or do you know why I might? I unfortunately missed the call from my dr and of course it’s now the weekend lol. I’m supposed to call him Monday to discuss it but I’m anxious and in pain!

High SED rates for Fibro folks is common. Our bodies are always inflamed. It sucks.

It means you have inflammation in your body which could be Lupus, Rhuematoid or similar disease. Or the may not discover why. It depends on what the rest of your blood work shows. They may have to do further testing

Both EsR (SED) andCRP are indicators of inflammation. IN my case sarcoidosis. I didn't think fibro was an autoimmune disease which would cause inflammation. Keep getting checked please.
