Can Any Of Those Who Have Muscle Twitching Induce A Muscle Twitch Or Fasticulation By Tapping The Area?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am a little bit more worried now as seem to be able to set of the twitches by just moving muscles slightly or tapping an area. It gives an obvious twitch and sometimes causes a visible spasm. Anyone else able to do this??

Hi Lauren, mine do not twitch by tapping the area however, mine are constant (all day). The only thing that provides relief for me is putting pressure on the area that's twitching. I hope you find some relief soon ❤

I can induce a twitch just by thinking of it it’s crazy. Sometimes I will think wow I haven’t twitched in a while and then sure enough I get a twitch. I’m really trying not to bring attention to it as that just seems to feed it more. Hang in there

Yes, I used to be able to get the muscles in the arch of my foot to twitch by tapping on it. It stopped after a few years

My doctor recommended Magnesium 500mg daily. I do believe that it has helped. I take it daily for approximately 2 years now. But recently I have been having severe muscle twitching again. Yes, it's when I'm stressed, anxious, overtired. My right ring finger has become paralyzed at times or will jerk uncontrollably. I have noticed however the more active that I am the better I feel. Exercise in any way, movement in any way, helps with all these symptoms. I have fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy. God bless you. Prayer has been my best medicine.

I also can stop a twitch by adding pressure and its odd, but I can seem to also make a twitch happen by thinking about it, (however it had to be already happening! ) I can’t start a twitch just by touching an area. I hate twitches!
